Development

We often talk about sitting in a circle, without thinking the novice has no idea of what a circle is! A circle is lead by a circle leader, who is an experienced medium.

There are two type of circles, open and closed. An open circle is a meeting, usually on a regular basis that anyone can join, regardless of experience. This can be a little off putting for the first time sitter, when joining those with more experience, but you shouldn't be put off. Everyone has to start somewhere. Closed circles are groups more suited to those at a similar level of development. They are a fixed group of members who sit on a regular basis, usually weekly. This is a more intensive way of developing as the medium will have more time to devote to understanding the needs of the students. It is unusual that new members will be introduced to the closed circle once development has begun.

Annette is currently teaching under the umbrella of her tutor, medium Sue Geis ( at the Feathers Healing And Awareness Centre, Tewkesbury Road, Gloucester ). Annette has experience in bringing nervous, unsure beginners who were unsure of their abilities through to blossoming accomplished mediums. Tracey has experience in home circles and taught in her own circle with a group of ladies on a weekly basis. It was a strong circle and the bond of support between the members was extraordinary.Being a teacher is about encouraging people to grow. A good student should grow beyond the teacher, be confident in working in their own unique way and feel happy to move away from the circle.
